Community Fund Board

The Lion Social Club Community Board is a collection of LSC holders who are voted in by their peers to help forge the direction and usage of the LSC community fund. Their primary role is to work alongside the Mapogo to select investment options and opportunities that at the discretion of the Mapogo will be put to the entire community for a vote. The option that receives the most votes from the community will be actioned.

How it works

Board seats - A maximum of 5 board members will serve at any one time with a minimum of 3 for a working committee.

Eligibility - Board members must at all times hold at least 1 Lion Social Club NFT.

Appointment – Board members must be nominated to stand for the position and then be seconded by 2 LSC NFT holders. Then upon a community vote, they must receive a majority of votes above that of their contesting peers for the available roles on offer. A minimum of 100 votes must be received to be appointed.

Expectations – A board member must at all times represent a positive image of the LSC, board members must at all times have the best intentions of the LSC as their priority, a board member's key role is to work alongside the Mapogo in presenting direction and choice for the community. The aim is to build the fund and then to return the profits of the fund to holders.

Term – The term of any board member is for a maximum of 3 months before reappointment may be sorted by further re-election. Board members can be stood down at any time by a majority vote of the board and then by agreement of the Mapogo. Board members may resign at any time.

These guidelines may be changed at any time at the discretion of the Mapogo but community interests will always be put first and any changes will be openly discussed with the community.

At times when a working board number cannot be formed for any reason the Mapogo will take on the responsibilities of the board in lieu of a timely election being organised.
